A lot of companies have already welcomed the idea of e-marketing, and are welcoming it with open arms. In this post, I'm going to tell you why I suspect that companies should invest in e-marketing. E-marketing is inexpensive, and, in my opinion, lots more effective. Nearly everyone is now using the Net, and that is why firms have begun to take advantage of e-marketing to sell their products/services.

An advantage of e-marketing over traditional marketing is that it is so much easier to track ; if you send out an e-mail, you can see who opened it, who clicked which link, etc.

The next e-marketing point I'm going to discuss with you, before I give you some examples of e-marketing, is the reach of your internet campaign. If you were doing a direct mail campaign, as an example, what quantity of folks do you typically reach? With e-marketing, you have the potential to reach BILLIONS of folks ; for little cost.

So, let's have some examples of e-marketing. First, Social Networking. Social Networking is sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, where you have interaction with people from across the world, and all of these folks are possible clients. The concept of a Social Networking campaign is literally simply to interact with your prospects, give folks some advice, and direct them to your website/blog. This is e-marketing in full effect.

This brings us onto our second example of e-marketing ; blogging. The word blog originated from web log, and that's exactly what a blog is. Fundamentally, you write posts, and if you're doing it for marketing purposes, you write about your industry, setting yourself up as an expert. Once your readers begin to trust you and regard you an expert in your field, then you start including links to your internet site in your posts. This is a popular form of e-marketing.
